Today

I had a really good 80 10 10 day today. Plenty of good food, sunshine, fresh air, water, and exercise.

I walked 6 miles, rebounded for 10 minutes, and did body weight exercises for 30 minutes.

Looking closely at my diet I noticed I am quite low on OMEGA6 fat.... not sure I should be concerned ?

Back in the Saddle - LFRV

Hopefully none of you are too awfully disappointed with my last "dismount" from the 80 10 10 diet.

I have been bucked by this steer before - gored with a horn - and trampled a couple of times..but this cowboy is hardly "out for the season".... ;~)

I wiped off the dust put on a few band-aids and am back in the saddle again.... hopefully for longer than 8 seconds !!

My wife and kids are choosing some cooked vegs & legumes at dinner right now - no oil - no salt.

We are healthy... and gaining on the illusive "Shangrila of health" everyday.

Thanks folks for all of your support - we will get there - and all will share a health and vitality beyond comprehension!!

Today's schedule:

0530 - Workout with Jungle Gym & Rebounding ~ 30 minutes. 1100 - 5 flights of stairs
0630 - 1 cantaloupe
0830 - 1 pineapple, 4 oranges, 1/3 lb bokchoy (green smoothie)
1130 - 4 dates + 10 bananas + 1 large salad (30 mins later)
1700 - 4 mangoes + 1 large salad (30 mins later)

All the best folks !!

The Streak has Ended :(

Well.. 3 months was a good run. We cleaned up quite a bit in this time and have had some cooked food this past week.

Some cooked vegetables and legumes may frequent our dinner table in the colder months (have been influenced a bit by the book Eat to Live by Joel Fuhrman)... it seems the kids prefer it and my wife is quite a bit happier.

A compromise - low fat and low salt cooked vegan is OK.. IMO.. as long as we are sure to always include a high percentage of raw fruits/vegetables in the diet.

We are on a great path and our lifestyle is forever changed. Illness and disease should never set foot in our house again !

The family seemed to "snap" out of the "detox funk" we were in as well after eating some cooked food (if we can call that a benefit?).

I can live with kids who ask for cooked vegs... or a vegan chili as a treat... heck.. if they have a vegetable pizza on special occasions.... I will feel pretty good about the influence and choices they are making.

80 10 10 is the king of diets and will be my diet of choice. I may not be 100% for the rest of my life... but intend for us to be 90% minimum !!!

Thanks all for the support as of late - we have compromised a bit - but are on a healing path that shall remain for the rest of our lives.

Many Blessings - RD.

12 Weeks LFRV - 2 "Good Days"

I have actually had 2 decent (Happy) days this past week. Hopefully the trend will continue.

I still have quite a bit of brain fog and fatigue. But do feel a bit stronger.

I am letting my calories slip off a bit.. need to ensure I get them up a few hundred again.

I also started exercising again this week - not going to the gym but using a new training device st home called the "Jungle Gym". It seems to be doing the trick.
We receive the last order of dates for the year.. a sampler pack from the Date people.. that should help with the caloric demands !!

Yesterday's menu:

Breakfast - 5 pounds of papaya
Lunch - 10 bananas
Dinner - 4 pears blended with cherries + 1 large blended salad

Have an excellent week folks - may you all be blessed !

11 Weeks LFRV - The Hammer !

11 weeks along on my 811RV journey. The diet is really "putting down the hammer" this week. I am cold and tired with a ton of brain fog today... yesterday seemed a bit better... seems to cycle from day to day.

I have yet to feel fabulous and my sleep continues to be very deep - I few times last pm.. I did not feel like I could move a muscle !!

I am trying to get all of the sunshine I can. I walk atleast once per day and rebound a couple of times for a total of 10-15 minutes... and my diet is very consistent now - 3 meals per day.

Yesterday's menu was as follows:

Breakfast - 10 dried soaked figs + 4 med pears
Lunch - 10 bananas
Dinner - 1 papaya (~2 lbs) + 1 large blended salad (tomato, cucumber, celery, lettuce, spinach and a squeeze of lemon).

I may chew my salad this pm.. I feel like some texture... perhaps a pineapple.. followed by the grande salad.. sounds great !

I feel like I am on a long road.. but one that is worth it. I have not been well for 7 years or so.. thus expect this current level of fatigue may endure for a few more months.. I have to be diligent and remain patient...

All the best folks - Happy Healing!
