OJ diet - Stage1 (Day 1&2) - Hope

Day 1

This first evening I slept really hard – stayed in bed until 0630. I have to work this week – plan to drink ½ gallon during the day and maybe another pint for dinner. Will have ½ gallon of water as well. I feel a bit tired and cold. I feel limber – neck is loosening, I feel light on my feet despite the fatigue. There is a presence in my chest – not sure… liver, heart or lungs. I have also noticed the mole under my left eye is shrinking and my sinus’ are starting to clear – a really good sign. I went for a short walk – energy level is decent. Dull headache started. Work is slow - should be a great first week.

Orange Juice
- 1 pint squeezed and strained @ 1800 hrs on 12/27
- 64 oz @ work – 8 oz per hour diluted with water

Day 2

11.5 hours of intense slumber. Tongue coated with thick mucus. I feel somewhat refreshed. Had my AM water and herbal fix - arrived at work @ 0830. I am optimistic about this cleanse. Just arrived home from work – will not say I feel fantastic – but I do feel better than I have in 2 years ! I am really excited to see what tomorrow will bring. This was a great day.

Orange Juice
- 64 oz @ work – 8 oz per hour diluted with water

Herbs
- Liver Itch – 2T
- Adult De-wormer – 2T
- Olive Leaf – 6 per day
- Oregano Oil – 6 per day
- LBB – 9 per day

I found this on a juice fasting site - a decent description of what is going on in the old body. I am not sure I will go long enough to get to stage 4 - but 3 weeks is my intent.

Detoxification

A single cell within the human body is more complex than the most modern supercomputer. The process of removing a hundred thousand antigens, each with unique molecular properties, from trillions of functioning cells is indeed a complex process. Imagine three trillion cells being repaired during the function of countless biochemical processes needed for life. Even the best mechanics have to turn off the engine. Yet, the body has millions of micro mechanics that do this with ease.

One of the body’s automatic maintenance processes is the destruction of foreign microorganisms. When looking through a dark-field microscope, countless parasites are clearly visible. I observed parasites living inside blood cells. Several could be seen eating cholesterol, and I was amazed to see one swim. Watching lymphocytes moving in the blood was like a science-fiction movie. These complex, lymphocyte organisms attached themselves and engulfed toxins. As they did, their colorations flowed into fascinating patterns leaving me with a sense of wonder and respect for the miraculous ability and infinite complexity of the human body.

Fasting Detoxification Stages

Here is an overview of the detoxification stages during a juice fast. The time periods are a general estimation.

Stage 1 (Day 1 To Day 2)

On the first day of fasting, the blood sugar level drops below 70 mg/dl. To restore the blood to the normal glucose level, liver glycogen is converted to glucose and released into the blood. This reserve is enough for half a day. The body then reduces the basal metabolic rate (BMR). The rate of internal chemical activity in resting tissue is lowered to conserve energy. The heart slows and blood pressure is reduced. Glycogen is pulled from the muscle causing some weakness. The first wave of cleansing is usually the worst.

Headaches, dizziness, nausea, bad breath, glazed eyes and a heavily coated tongue are signs of the first stage of cleansing. Hunger can be the most intense in this period unless the enema is used which quickly assists the body into the fasting state by ending digestion in the colon.

Stage 2 (Day 3 To Day 7)

Fats, composed of transformed fatty acids, are broken down to release glycerol from the gliceride molecules and are converted to glucose. The skin may become oily as rancid oils are purged from the body. People with problem-free skin may have a few days of pimples or even a boil. A pallid complexion is also a sign of waste in the blood. Ketones are formed by the incomplete oxidation of fats. It is suspected that the ketones in the blood suppress the appetite by affecting the food-satiety center in the hypothalamus. You may feel hungry for the first few days of the fast. This effect is temporary. The desire to eat will disappear. Lack of hunger may last 40 to 60 days, depending on whether you are on water or juice.

The body embraces the fast and the digestive system is able to take a much-needed rest, focusing all of its energies on cleansing and healing. White blood cell and immune system activity increases. You may feel pain in your lungs. The cleansing organs and the lungs are in the process of being repaired. Periodically, the lymphatic system expels mucoid matter through the nose or throat. The volume excreted of this yellow-colored mucus can be shocking. The sinuses go through periods of being clogged, then will totally clear. The breath is still foul and the tongue coated. Within the intestine, the colon is being repaired and impacted feces on the intestinal wall start to loosen.

Stage 3 (Day 8 to Day 15)

On the latter part of an extended fast, you can experience enhanced energy, clear-mindedness and feel better than you have felt since childhood. On the downside, old injuries may become irritated and painful. This is a result of the body’s increased ability to heal during fasting. If you had broken your arm 10 years before, there is scar tissue around the break. At the time of the break, the body’s ability to heal was directly related to lifestyle. If you lived on a junk-food diet, the body’s natural healing ability was compromised.

During fasting, the body’s healing process is at optimum efficiency. As the body scours for dead or damaged tissue, the lymphocytes enter the older, damaged tissue secreting substances to dissolve the damaged cells. These substances irritate the nerves in the surrounding region and cause a reoccurrence of aches from previously injured areas that may have disappeared years earlier. The pain is good as the body is completing the healing process. The muscles may become tight and sore due to toxin irritation. The legs can be the worst affected, as toxins accumulate in the legs. Cankers are common in this stage due to the excessive bacteria in the mouth. Daily gargling with salt and water will prevent or heal cankers.

Stage 4 (Day 16 to Day 30)

The body is completely adapted to the fasting process. There is more energy and clarity of mind. Cleansing periods can be short with many days of feeling good in between. There are days when the tongue is pink and the breath is fresh. The healing work of the organs is being completed. After the detoxification mechanisms have removed the causative agent or render it harmless, the body works at maximum capacity in tissue proliferation to replace damaged tissue. While a short fast will reduce the symptoms, a longer fast can completely heal. Homeostatic balance is at optimum levels. The lymphatic system is clean except for a rare discharge of mucus through the nose or throat. After day 20, the mind is affected. Heightened clarity and emotional balance are felt at this time. Memory and concentration improve.

Stage 5 (Breaking the Fast)

The sticky, toxic, mucoid coating on the intestinal wall is loose, and the first meal frees it from the intestinal wall. Toxins enter the blood through the colon. The gallbladder dumps its waste in a heavy discharge of bile. This can cause an instant bowel movement upon eating followed by intense diarrhea. If the symptoms are too uncomfortable, an enema will help.

Drop the idealistic BS

I have spent some time pondering the advice of several out there... 100% raw, eat less, eat more, eat meat, eat vegan, eat fat, eat no fat, eat frequently, eat once per day, exercise a LOT, exercise little, take herbs, natural hygiene, salt..etc.....

ENOUGH is ENOUGH !!

What is my real goal here ? I am trying to recover my health and vitality. What makes me feel good? Find it... and DO IT !

Here are my conclusions - what I have found that works for me:

- Eat low fat high raw vegan (100% raw is best) - 80 10 10

- Eat enough ~ 2500 calories seems to work nicely

- Eat 3-4 meals per day

- Eat 2+ lbs of greens per day (get enough protien ~ 56g+)

- Green smoothies are GREAT !

- Take Antifungals every day between meals (the Candida was thriving otherwise)

- Exercise outside in the AM vigorous enough to sweat on the rebounder (~ 15 mins)

- Walk 15-30 mins per day outside

- Spend 30 mins in the sun per day minimum (am and late afternoon are best)

- Breathe deeply when ever you think of it (and stretch)

- Start each day with a couple of pints of distilled water

- Eliminate salt

- Occasional cooked food will not kill you - enjoy what you eat (low fat vegan choices are great)

- Offer to help someone frequently

- Work hard - stay on top of things - be the master

- Laugh and smile more

Living to satiate some idealistic bullshit plan concocted by some "guru" does not make me thrive... I need MY plan... comprised of what makes ME feel well...

All for now,

RD.

Still keeping on the anti-fungals. I have white powdery stuff coming outta my toes, the skin peeling off my feet and my skin itching all over at times.

I flew to Denver a few weeks ago... for the first time in my adult life my ears did not hurt upon descent... amazing.

It's working - I just have to remain patient and keep on a low mucus - high raw vegan diet....

All the best folks - would love to hear about your healing journeys...

Russ.

If it feels good... DO IT !!

Has been a bit since I posted.. have been in a fatigued stupor. Chatting with an old friend I decided to start taking anti-fungal herbs again. Magically.. in about 2 weeks...I am starting to feel better.
I exercised twice today.. had a decent day at work.. and spun the kids around on my shoulders a few times thus far today.. amazing.
My diet has been low fat vegan for 2010 - high raw (80%+)...
I have no idea why the fungus still exists .. but it does. I will continue with the diet and herbs until I am better.
Obviously .. something has not healed fully... but am making progress. The last time I started the herbs.. it almost killed me (classic die off symptoms - herxheimer? reaction)... this time was no big deal.. took a couple of weeks to start feeling better... like magic.
I literally went from a fogged stupor sleeping 12 hours a day with naps if possible... to feeling better than I have since I was last on the herbs in 2 weeks. I was contemplating quitting my job and all sorts of nonsense.. getting really depressed...etc...
I am as idealistic as the next person.. but I also have to live and support my family...
For those out there trying the LFRV diet to resolve a fatigue issue.. it WORKS.. and it may work
much quicker with some herbal assistance !
All the best,
RD.

Low Fat Vegans

We decided to start incorporating some cooked food into our diets.

All has been working out well. In general - we eat fruit for breakfast (or green smoothies) - some days we have a salad and cooked vegs for lunch - other days - raw is it.

This decision is quite personal and was driven by my need to travel for work - and the well being/contentment of the family - along with social pressures.

Low fat vegan allows us a great deal of flexibility.

I recenty travelled to Montreal for work - and was able to do just fine as a LFV. Steak houses are your best friend - you can always get baked potatoes, steamed vegs, and a salad.

Minimizing grain consumption (IMO) is a very wise decision - and be sure to eat salads and plenty of vegetables.

The diet is very healthy and we seem to be getting a bit stronger on it.

Slow and steady wins the race !! 'Cept for pizza 4X this year... we have been vegan... and are recovering lost health.

All for now & I wish everyone the BEST !!!

Our very first fruit tree !!

We are really pressed for space .. but managed to shoe horn a Turkish Fig tree in behind the pool.... you have to look VERY closely.. but there ~ 6 figs on it !!

It sits in the western sun.. which is very hot.. will see how it does !!

Cannot wait to try one of the figs ! LOL...

This will be a LOT of fun some day.. when we are growing our own...

I did just discover a few neighbors with peach trees... I will have to ask them if they need help eating them !!

All the best folks.... and happy healing.

Re-feeding after the water fast

Friday June4 - Refeeding Day 1
==========

0800 - 141 lbs (a gain of 2 lbs)
Urine pH = 6.4
Tongue coated

I feel pretty good this am. Did not sleep that well last pm. My energy is decent. Had a juice followed
by watermelon for breakfast this am. I am not eating much - will continue to increase the volume.

Rebounded for 5 mins prior to bfast - very invigorating.

The food plan for the day is melon and juice.. water and honeydew types. My strength is continuing to grow.
I cleaned up a few things around the house this am.. I plan to take a nap after lunch... likely eating 2 melons this aft - gotta
get the calories up.

Made the kids some cooked pinto's last pm - served over salad... I had to try some... they were good and seemed to digest
well.

Saturday - June5 - Re-feeding Day2
==================================

0800 - 144 lbs (a gain of 3 lbs)
Urine pH = 7.2
Tongue Coated

I experienced quite a bit of coughing and sneezing last pm... hacked up a bit of mucus from the lungs. I slept like
a stone... did not want to get up this am !

Now that I am up.. I feel pretty good - except for a dull headache. Time to get our new Waterwise9000 water distiller
fired up !

Good Raw AM today.. had melons for b'fast (honeydew and water) and a large banana smoothie for lunch (6 banana with celery
and spinach).

We then enjoyed a thick split pea soup for dinner.. with a lot of carrots, celery and some onion.. along with wild rice
and steamed vegetables - it was very good.. and the kids enjoyed it thoroughly.

Happy healing all - RD

2010 Water Fast - 168/168 hours complete !!!

Thursday - June3
=================

0800 - 139 lbs
Urine pH <5.5
Tongue Heavily coated

I am dropping more weight than I expected... but on a positive note... means I was still quite toxic.. better out than in.

Was stapled to the bed this am.. WOW.. the fast is really eliminating at this point. Started to have "food dreams" last pm.. then fell into a deep restful sleep... ~ 10 hours.. got up this AM finally... skin brush shower.. then 30 min sun bath.. back
to bed for a deep hour's rest.

It seems I experience a day or 2 of feeling bad... (sinus plugs up, am irratable, back hurts (esp left side) do not sleep really well.. THEN.. DEEP sleep.. and I wake feeling a huge fatigue - but after intense sleep I am a bit stronger.

Today is day 7.. I am hoping to end on the positive side.. but if not.. am sure the juice and watermelon I have will not disrupt the detoxification 2 badly.. I do want to come out of the ketonic state and recover my alkalinity. Hopefully the aggressive juicing I have planned will accomplish just that.

This afternoon I feel pretty good!! Went to the grocery store after some local honeydew melons... WOW.. they are the sweetest smelling melons I have ever selected!

I also noticed a mucus like substance in my urine... GOD knows what is coming out... ??

I have decided to break the fast today... 3 reasons:

1. The honeydews.. cannot wait !!
2. Fasting veterans advised me to break while feeling good - reduces recovery time
3. Allows and addition re-feeding day prior to returning to work
4. I'm happy and another day .. I'm outta dwarfs !

Am very pleased with this experience... I feel I have learned quite a bit. Breaking sooner than originally planned is not too disappointing.. I am elated with the process and very happy to end on a positive note !

All the best - happy healing.

2010 Water Fast - 144/192 hours complete !!!

Wednesday - June2
=================

0800 - 142 lbs
Urine pH <5.5
Tongue Heavily coated

Did not sleep well last pm... was congested. Started to sleep really deeply this am .. and napping today has been a
premium.

I did not care for people this am...certainly was working to avoid all contact... kinda Bashful I guess..?

Salt taste in the mouth continues - my nerve energy is building...2.25 days left at this point. I really hope most
of this clears out before the fast ends.

I have been planning my breakfast.. and re-feeding... it will go something like this...

Friday
------

1800 - Juice (2 carrots with stems, 1/2 green apple, 2-4 stalk celery, a slice of red cabbage, fresh mint)
1830 - Watermelon - enough to move the bowels - no more than 2 slices hopefully

Saturday
--------

Juice upon waking
Alternate juice and melon each hour - ensuring I consume a minimum of 64 oz of juice

Sunday
------

Back on the 811RV diet !!! (with juice added)

0800 (or upon waking) - juice
0900 - watermelon
1130 - juice
1200 - bananas + large salad with fig dressing (dehydrated soaked figs blended with celery and a jalepeno)
1500 - mangoes + large salad with mango/tomato/celery dressing

After a few days of this diet...will add in some nuts on occasion... or avocado.

My assimilation should be improved after this diet.. my weight should be back to 155 in no time...

I will attempt to document the first few days of re-feeding as this is important to note for future reference.

Happy Healing folks - RD.

2010 Water Fast - 120/192 hours complete !!!

Tuesday - June1
============

0800 - 142 lbs
Urine pH < 5.5
Tongue heavy white coating

WOW.. Day5 is really "BRINGING IT". I can feel the cleansing ongoing. I have slept all evening and this AM pretty
much straight through. I can taste a lot of salt in my mouth.

Today I rested quite a bit... building nerve energy. I am stronger as a result. Began to really embrace the fast... contemplating life's mysteries... kinda "Doc-like"....

Have noticed a couple of moles that I have are getting smaller. I feel a bit congested.. a touch of mucus in the lungs
and my sinus has cleared at times.. but remains mostly blocked.

Will be careful to give this ol' body what it needs most today... plenty of distilled water and REST....I am really
starting to believe in the water fast ... what could be better for a fatigued soul ?

I made the kids a GREAT salad prior to their marshal arts class... the dressing was soaked dried apricots blended chunky with plenty of celery apple and carrots. The salad itself was chopped lettuce and spinach... all topped/garnished with chopped celery and carrots... I should have taken a picture !!! I never saw 2 kids devour a salad like that before !! I will experiment with adding a hot pepper to the dressing... am sure they will like that one.. esp in the colder months.

Have a great evening all....

Happy Healing - RD.

2010 Water Fast - 96/192 hours complete !!!

Monday May31 - Happy Memorial Day
===========================

0700 - 144lbs
Urine pH < 5.5
Tongue - heavy white coating

I do not feel so well this am - the sinus are plugged - coughing a bit - and feel congested and tired. The fast is performing it's magic !! I will have to sleep this off !! Whatta great rest this has been thus far... am half way there !!

Upon scraping my tongue this am... I can taste salt.. it is quite strong ! Better out than in ... ;~)

Was in a FOG all day today.. heavy elimination.. just could not think. I set my book down.. 10 minutes later.. spent
10 minutes looking for it.... arghhh... kinda Dopey !!

I am feeling a bit stronger now... but not much... man.. did I NEED THIS !!

Happy Healing.... RD.

2010 Water Fast - 72/192 hours complete !!!

Sunday - May30
==============

0700 - 146lbs
Urine pH < 5.5
Tongue - heavy white coating - a bit yellow when scraped

I felt pretty good during the night - sleep was a bit scattered.. but was sleeping deeply this am. I feel a bit better
this am - but still quite toxic feeling.

Am noting a lower back ache in the kidney area. I am drinking ~ 2 quarts of water per day - judging from the weight loss
this is not enough. I will try to drink more today.

Still working to complete Fuhrman's Fasting book... I started Bragg's fasting book last pm as well. I have read Shelton's
book on fasting some time ago.. I know he says the back pain is normal.

I also feel some slight pain in the right ankle area - I sprained this ankle a couple of months ago... hopefully it is being attended to.

Today will bring more of the same - lots of rest, skin brushing, a bit of sunshine and fresh air.

Experienced some sneezing and coughing - it would appear my sinus' and lungs need some work ? I did smoke in the past and also had a lot of sinus issues (infections...etc..)

Saturday, May 29, 2010

2010 Water Fast - 48/192 hours complete !!!

Whatta day today... the fatigue continued today.. but I was quite a bit less tolerant of anything... ;~) pretty GRUMPY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are the stats for today...

Saturday - May29
================

0700 - 149 lbs
Urine pH = 7.2
Tongue - heavy white coating

I feel tired this am. Did not sleep through the night as I was napping yesterday afternoon. My skin looks decent.
Shaved with soap today - Quick shower with vigorous skin brushing. Sun bath - forgot to mention yesterday - 10 mins
each side @0900.

I plan to read and rest today... (and everyday)... performing some brief (1 min max) rebounding sessions to keep the lymph moving.

I have noticed the urine pH is in decline.. I think this means I am switching into Ketosis....

All the best folks - happy healing.

2010 Water Fast - 24/192 hours complete !!!

Well folks... 1 day in the books... I had to work today.. which helped to pass the time... Since I'm planning on 8 days.. I thought the dwarfs may be appropriate to help tell the tale.....

Today.. SLEEPY... gets the nod... I am a bit of the others as well.. but WOW.. tired....

Here is the log.....

May27
-----

1800 - finished last meal. 3 Blended Mangoes + 6 squash with tomato sauce

May28
-----

0700 - 153 lbs
Urine pH = 7.4
Tongue - lightly coated - slightly yellow when scraped

I feel light this am after a relatively low calorie dinner last evening. Had a small BM. Sleep was very deep. Have to work today... otherwise would still be sleeping. Spent a couple of minutes on the rebounder. Shower brief - vigorous skin brushing.. then rinse. Shaved with no soap - brushed teeth with only water. Breath is already foul.

1500 - luckily was able to leave work early today to get a jump on the holiday weekend... !! I laid down for 20 minutes.. almost slipped into a COMA !! WOW.. I have been needing this rest.. the body was calling for it.. I need to deliver and give it what it needs... NOTHING !!

Starting to read Fuhrman's fasting and eating for health... looks like it will be a very enjoyable
book.

On to day 2..... will sleepy reign supreme again tomorrow ???

All the best folks - happy healing.

My 2010 Water Fast is on !!

I am planning on drinking distilled water for the next 8 days... am really looking forward to a new level of health !!

Today... I had my normal watermelon bfast, followed by bananas and celery for lunch, blended mangoes this pm.. then mowed the lawn while my wife prepared a delicious "squash spaghetti".. with a wonderful tomato sauce ... GOD it was good !!!

I do not want to accept anything less than 8 days on this water fast... thus plan on having some veg juice (diluted with water) this same time next Friday.... will then have veg juice again to begin Saturday, followed by blended melon. I will continue with juicy fruits and veg juice all day Saturday... eating as much as my stomach feels comfortable with (taking care to eat slowly). Sunday will be similar fare... likely consuming more volume.

Monday - I plan to be back on my 811RV plan....

I expect to feel quite tired and toxic.... and not sure on the recovery as I have not fasted this long on water before... but have been and will continue to rest as much as I can through this healing journey. Also planning to keep a daily log - weight, tongue condition, assessment of how I slept and feel/look, along with any symptoms.....

I wish all of you the best.... !!!

Happy Healing,

Looking Ahead

All,

I have had a good year thus far.. and it's about to get even better!

My health is on the mend - although my energy has not returned.. and tolerance for exercise remains relatively low... I am "cleaning out" and feeling a bit better as time goes by.

I will be water fasting over the holiday... I have next week off to rest!

Cannot wait to get started and jettison my current level of health.

I plan to track my weight, condition of the tongue, urine pH, and general observations about how I feel (energy level, symptoms..etc) along with the amount of water I consume.

That's all for now folks - Happy Healing!

Vitality - Is Ehret Correct ?

I believe I have validated the Ehret Vitality Formula.. once again (V=P-O).

As most of you know, I am in transition to 100% LFRV. It seems after a period of several weeks (especially if I fast or skip a meal) my vitality is lowered. I feel weak, brain fog, mild headache, tired, cold... your classic detox like symptoms... cannot get enough sleep.. and sleep will not be as deep at times as I need.

Last evening.. we were ALL feeling this way and decided to have some steamed vegs and legumes. My dinner consisted of a large salad with 1 cup of pinto beans and some frozen peas (thawed) followed by 1lb of steamed broccoli.

Almost like a light switch... BAMMO... I could feel a surge in my vitality and this AM I do feel so much better !!

The healing power of the body and a LFRV diet/fasting are quite impressive... but it seems there is a compromise of vitality vs. speed of detoxification that I must weigh during this transition. I can ill afford too low a vitality at work.. I need to perform well.

This has been one heck of an interesting trip thus far.. I can tell ya that !!

Looking forward to the rest of the healing journey.... and best wishes to those on a healing path !!

Nick should be off to first grade !!!

All,

Today is a great day ! Our son Nick is affected by Autism Syndrome (he's toxic with poor digestion). He could barely talk when we entered him in school this spring.

He has been 90+% raw this past year... and was moved from the special ed class to regular Kindergarten.. he is reading, counting.. and his speech continues to improve.

Progress has been slow.. but steady... we received word from the teacher today.. he will be moving to first grade !!!

Folks ...a raw low fat vegan diet works ! We are now a very high raw vegan family... (every now and again we have steamed vegs)...our diet consists almost entirely of fruits... and tender leafy greens (lettuce, baby spinach, mixed greens, and celery).

My kids are healing, my wife is losing weight, and I am on the mend....

Remember - true health is earned. You must have fresh air, pure water, sunshine, exercise and proper diet to succeed.... (patience does not hurt either).

We are truly blessed to have found this lifestyle... and be influenced by a sincere group of folks...

Thanks all .. and bless you !!

Eat to Live !!

Another LFRV Month on the books

Well folks - another month on the "diet of kings" is on the books.

Hurting my ankle last week was not much fun.. but am able to walk pretty normally at this time.. and the swelling is all gone.

My most nagging symptoms remain... (brain fog, cold hands, and low energy)... but that "healin' feelin'" persists.

I ate few overt fats this month... it really takes the detox up a notch.

The family is holding fast... we are getting healthier with each passing day.

Today's fare:

0900 - 64 oz pineapple spinach smoothie
1200 - 12 bananas + 6 stalks celery
1800 - 5 oranges blended with fresh mint + 1 large salad (romaine, spinach, mixed greens, celery and tomato).

I have to run... read with the kids.... a quick post this time...

Happy Healing to all out there... and thanks for your continued support....

I have had quite a few symptoms this week without overts. A dull headache, really cold and grey hands, 1 anxiety attack, BIG TIME fatigue, and a runny nose !!

I am healing.. I love it !! I have noticed I am now able to put on weight more easily on the diet.. I am excited about this.. means I am getting closer to healed... will have to taper back the fruit a bit .. or try to walk more.... the later is preferred.

Out in the sun all day today.. and worked pretty hard cleaning up the pool - lots of help from the boys ! Will have more of the same tomorrow.

I tasted watermelon for the first time this year.. it was not a great one.. but was very refreshing to have it again. I ate an entire melon today.. not a really large one... but was yummy...

I feel OK this evening. Amazing what 11-12 hours of sleep can do for you !

Today's menu:

0830 - 1/2 16 lb watermelon
1230 - 13 bananas and 1 celery heart
1530 - other half of the watermelon
1830 - 1 apple w/cinnamin + a large salad (greens & tomato)

Have a great what's left of the weekend !!

I had a really good 80 10 10 day today. Plenty of good food, sunshine, fresh air, water, and exercise.

I walked 6 miles, rebounded for 10 minutes, and did body weight exercises for 30 minutes.

Looking closely at my diet I noticed I am quite low on OMEGA6 fat.... not sure I should be concerned ?

Back in the Saddle - LFRV

Hopefully none of you are too awfully disappointed with my last "dismount" from the 80 10 10 diet.

I have been bucked by this steer before - gored with a horn - and trampled a couple of times..but this cowboy is hardly "out for the season".... ;~)

I wiped off the dust put on a few band-aids and am back in the saddle again.... hopefully for longer than 8 seconds !!

My wife and kids are choosing some cooked vegs & legumes at dinner right now - no oil - no salt.

We are healthy... and gaining on the illusive "Shangrila of health" everyday.

Thanks folks for all of your support - we will get there - and all will share a health and vitality beyond comprehension!!

Today's schedule:

0530 - Workout with Jungle Gym & Rebounding ~ 30 minutes. 1100 - 5 flights of stairs
0630 - 1 cantaloupe
0830 - 1 pineapple, 4 oranges, 1/3 lb bokchoy (green smoothie)
1130 - 4 dates + 10 bananas + 1 large salad (30 mins later)
1700 - 4 mangoes + 1 large salad (30 mins later)

All the best folks !!

The Streak has Ended :(

Well.. 3 months was a good run. We cleaned up quite a bit in this time and have had some cooked food this past week.

Some cooked vegetables and legumes may frequent our dinner table in the colder months (have been influenced a bit by the book Eat to Live by Joel Fuhrman)... it seems the kids prefer it and my wife is quite a bit happier.

A compromise - low fat and low salt cooked vegan is OK.. IMO.. as long as we are sure to always include a high percentage of raw fruits/vegetables in the diet.

We are on a great path and our lifestyle is forever changed. Illness and disease should never set foot in our house again !

The family seemed to "snap" out of the "detox funk" we were in as well after eating some cooked food (if we can call that a benefit?).

I can live with kids who ask for cooked vegs... or a vegan chili as a treat... heck.. if they have a vegetable pizza on special occasions.... I will feel pretty good about the influence and choices they are making.

80 10 10 is the king of diets and will be my diet of choice. I may not be 100% for the rest of my life... but intend for us to be 90% minimum !!!

Thanks all for the support as of late - we have compromised a bit - but are on a healing path that shall remain for the rest of our lives.

Many Blessings - RD.

12 Weeks LFRV - 2 "Good Days"

I have actually had 2 decent (Happy) days this past week. Hopefully the trend will continue.

I still have quite a bit of brain fog and fatigue. But do feel a bit stronger.

I am letting my calories slip off a bit.. need to ensure I get them up a few hundred again.

I also started exercising again this week - not going to the gym but using a new training device st home called the "Jungle Gym". It seems to be doing the trick.
We receive the last order of dates for the year.. a sampler pack from the Date people.. that should help with the caloric demands !!

Yesterday's menu:

Breakfast - 5 pounds of papaya
Lunch - 10 bananas
Dinner - 4 pears blended with cherries + 1 large blended salad

Have an excellent week folks - may you all be blessed !

11 Weeks LFRV - The Hammer !

11 weeks along on my 811RV journey. The diet is really "putting down the hammer" this week. I am cold and tired with a ton of brain fog today... yesterday seemed a bit better... seems to cycle from day to day.

I have yet to feel fabulous and my sleep continues to be very deep - I few times last pm.. I did not feel like I could move a muscle !!

I am trying to get all of the sunshine I can. I walk atleast once per day and rebound a couple of times for a total of 10-15 minutes... and my diet is very consistent now - 3 meals per day.

Yesterday's menu was as follows:

Breakfast - 10 dried soaked figs + 4 med pears
Lunch - 10 bananas
Dinner - 1 papaya (~2 lbs) + 1 large blended salad (tomato, cucumber, celery, lettuce, spinach and a squeeze of lemon).

I may chew my salad this pm.. I feel like some texture... perhaps a pineapple.. followed by the grande salad.. sounds great !

I feel like I am on a long road.. but one that is worth it. I have not been well for 7 years or so.. thus expect this current level of fatigue may endure for a few more months.. I have to be diligent and remain patient...

All the best folks - Happy Healing!

The Report Cards are IN!

Our little men started school this year scheduled to attend special education class most of the time. Nicolas could barely speak (a few words) and Seth was clearly lagging behind most his age.

After 4 - 6week sessions they are markedly improved. Both have been subjectively graded by their Kindergarten teachers (they still attend a small portion of special ed) as "meeting grade level expectations".

Nicolas "demonstrated high achievement of grade level expectations" in the following areas:

- Identifies & reads at least 25 high frequency words
- Writes first & last name appropriately
- Counts numbers orally to 100
- Recognizes & names 2D figures

Although Nick has a long ways to go.. we really did not expect him to attend Kindergarten at all this year.. let alone hold his own. We could not be more pleased with his steady progress and accomplishment to date.

For those who do not know - Nick did not speak at all until the spring of 2009 (coincidentally - after a few months of high raw diet).

Seth actually scored a bit lower than Nick on the subjective evaluation (different teachers) - but is doing nicely. He is reading fine - but struggles to write well. They are lagging a bit in 'rithmatic.

Both seem to have quite short attention spans and Nick still throws an "autistic fit" on occasion - but nothing like it used to be.

We are proud of them & we tell them ... frequently.

They look healthy and seem to be getting stronger as we progress. This summer should bring rest and additional growth/healing to all of us.

Bless those who influenced us to adopt this lifestyle, and those who are supporting our continued efforts - we would not be here if not for you.

We wish all of you the VERY BEST !

10 Weeks LFRV - 70 Days - Bringing IT!

WOW ! Yesterday was a DETOX day from Hell ! I was freezing - headache - and could barely get through the day - could not wait to get home and sleep. The LFRV is REALLY BRINGING IT !!

Coincidentally - I did have some overts the past 2 days - will lay off again. I also seemed to start detoxing more heavily after my 3 day juice fast last weekend.

I have had a couple of good mornings - other than that - I am tired and symptoms of brain fog, cold hands, fatigue, and lack of tolerance for exercise are holding fast.

I am prepared to stay the course - may water fast for a week before the kids get outta school - should be able to rest nicely & lay in the sun.

Today's plan:

Fuel
===

Breakfast - 8 dates (wait 30 mins) + 4 large apples
Lunch - 10 bananas
Dinner - 1 blended pineapple (wait 30-60 mins) + 1 blended salad (romaine, mixed greens, spinach, tomato, cucumber, celery, lemon juice)

Exercise
======

10-15 minutes rebounding (2X5 - am & pm) & deep breathing
3 miles walking

Sunshine Award

A wonderful gift has been bestowed to us this day from the Berry Boy in N. Fla.

My sons Nick and Seth are big Berry Boy fans and love to eat berry/banana smoothies (banana juice) in the AM.. (especially after I ask them what they think the Berry Boy will be having this morning).. :)

Connie and Christopher have certainly touched our lives these past several months - we are blessed to know them.

I will continue to log our journey along this fruity path to healing - hoping all can learn from the venture - as well as share in the rewards along the way.

Please spread sunshine every chance you get and make this your BEST DAY... ever.

RD.

Rejuvenation

Day 3 of my short juice "fast" and I am starting to feel rejuvenated. I slept almost the entire first 2 days. I would lay down and quickly sink into a deep slumber - my head aching and lungs deep breathing the fresh moist air.

I have read the worse you feel on the feast - the more you needed it. I believe I needed this BADLY ! I have NEVER felt so exhausted for 2 continuous days - just amazing.

It is a shame I cannot afford time off right now - I would definitely extend this - perhaps before the kids get out of school this summer I can get a 10 day juice "fast" in - enabling me to lay in the hot sun and rest my tired body.

I have been using a vegetable/fruit juice combination this time - I prefer it to fruit juice or water - it seems to be "in the middle"... this yields about 16-24 oz of deep dark life giving juice:

2 kale leaves
1/2 baby bokchoy
2 carrots with greens
1/2 beet with greens
2 celery stalks
1/2 cucumber
1/2 green apple
1/4 lemon

Drink 3 of them each day... and plenty of distilled water in between. This seems to be working for me - a recipe I obtained from a chiropractor and used on my very first break from solid food.

The first 2 days - my most notable symptoms (brain fog, fatigue, cold hands) all were amplified. I had to take a hot bath one time to stop shivering. Day3 has brought a bit of clarity - although I am still a bit tired and look forward to laying down again shortly.

Robust health is in my future - I feel I am reeling in a BIG CATCH... it's fighting all the way.. but will be SO WORTH IT... when I am finally able to land it !

Best Wishes All - make everyday your BEST!

9 Weeks - 63 Days - LFRV - Slaying the Beast !

Well folks... 9 weeks on the "diet of Kings " !!

Prior to starting on my path to healing a couple of years ago I was diagnosed with dysbiosis (a candida overgrowth).

A few weeks ago - I decided to eliminate fats. It seems this decision was a wise one. I am experiencing a classic "candida die off" set of symptoms (I believe I can recognize them.. after months of anti-fungal meds and low carb diet)... I have rashes, mild headache, foul breath, and quite a bit of fatigue... BUT... there is that underlying "healin' feelin' " that persists.

Also... I used to pack away quite a bit of booze... some may have considered me alcoholic.. I cannot be sure of that.. but am sure the ol' liver needs some help. Digesting fats is likely not a strong point of mine.

For those of you struggling to slay the "YEAST BEAST"... eliminate those overt fats for a month or two... it seems to be working !!

I will keep all of you posted.. of course.

Make your days the BEST !!!

Juice me Up !!

Well into the 9th week LFRV and I am feeling tired most of the time and my hands are breaking out with a rash - just put some coconut oil on them ... they are burning !!!

I have about 0.25 good days a week right now.. which is more that I was having !!!

Good news arrived today.. the company I work for is in Ch11 and we were purchased by another company. Our new company has decided they need me and I received an offer letter from them today !!

Cool stuff - let's get ready to RUMBLE !!!

If I had more time off... I would really let myself HAVE IT.... a juice fast longer than any I have ever done !

For now... I will have to settle for 3 or 4 days this upcoming weekend... unless I feel absolutely fantastic.. then I will try to go to work with it.

I do have to remember... 40+ years of abusive diet and lifestyle have left me in rough shape.. and I have had 2 dental procedures performed in the last 6 months.... I cannot expect to be well tomorrow.

This weekend.. the bald man will be resting and juicing it up !!

Hope you folks all have an outstanding week... I know I will !!!

8 Weeks LFRV

This week has been a bit of a yo yo. I have felt good a couple of times... and other times not very good at all.

My sleep continues to be very deep, and I have only had overt fat once in the past 2 weeks.

I have an itchy rash on my fingers, and a powdery substance is all around my toenails... I am assuming this is a fungal/yeast related issue on the mend.

My cravings are minimal since I started eating more... will continue to keep exercise minimal and focus on rest, and deep breathing.

All for now - happy healing - RD.

7 Weeks - 49 Days - LFRV

49 days contiguous on the 811RV diet. I am still quite tired - but am healing.

I decided to eliminate overt fat this week and see how it goes. I cannot say I feel better... but certainly do not feel any worse.

My complexion seems to be on the mend, my finger tips, and soles of my feet are getting new skin, mucus is being constantly discharged from my nose and throat, and I have white powder around the base of my toenails.. and some itchy spots (eczema?) on my fingers and hands seem to come and go. Energy is relatively low, tolerance for exercise is NOT substantial, and my sleep continues to be deep, despite the need to urinate 3-4 times each night.

I feel like abundant health and well being is just around the corner... patience and rest ... patience and rest.

Onto WEEK8 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Wishes All,

RD.

Give us this day.......

We are lucky.. and thankful for the bounty of fruit laid before us each day. Our family consumes ~ 100 lbs of produce per week at this point.

We eat green smoothies, fruit, greens, vegs, and some nuts/seeds.

The kids are doing great .. eating 100% raw (unless the school gives them candy/junk in class - it happens).

My wife and I eat low fat raw vegan. She is ~98% raw... this year - I am 100% since Dec18 2009.

Here is an example of our daily fare:

Kids
===

Bfast - Split a Green Smoothie (4 bananas, 3 oz berries, handful baby spinach, water)
Lunch - Fruit - 1Banana, 1apple, 1/2 cup raisins (each)
Snack - 4 dates each
Dinner - Fruit - 1 banana, 1/2 apple, soaked dried figs (4-5) or another green smoothie
After dinner digests.. we will give them guacamole or almonds... and maybe some flax oil before bed.. they need fat... we let them have as much as they want.

Wife
===

Grazing mono fruit (mostly grapefruit, oranges, strawberries).. when hungry.... no real schedule..
.

Me
==

Bfast - 10 dried soaked figs + 10 dates
lunch - 7 bananas
mid day - 4 apples
dinner - 3 mangos + large salad (1+ lbs greens, celery, cucumber, tomato, w/ lemon juice)

Sometimes I have an avocado.. normally.. 2-3 of them per week.

Best wishes all.. it is never 2 late 2 start loving food that loves you back !!

Day46 - Intoxicating

Today did not start badly. I felt OK this AM.. I exercised and went through the normal routine.

This afternoon at work (even a bit so in the late AM) I felt tired, a bit dizzy.... I seemed drunk ?

My exercise was a bit more intense than the recent past.. but not that much.

I have to assume my body is expelling something quite toxic at this point.. and will rest all I can.. let it pass.

Tomorrow is another day......

Great news.... my dates are finally in !!! I will try them tomorrow.

Meals today as follows:

0900 - 10 soaked dried figs + 4 apples
1200 - 8 bananas
1500 - 3 pears
1800 - 3 mangos + large salad

6 Weeks - 42 Days - LFRV - Same Old Song and Dance

Six weeks on the 811rv !!! Whoohoo !!!

I feel about the same.. I have some good days and some "not so good" days... the detox type symptoms continue (mild headache, fatigue, brain fog, cold hands - most prominent).

I have noticed the skin that is just over the top my fingernails (at the top - back of the hand) seems to be peeling off... quite interesting.

The great news is my cravings for SAD have been minimal.. and I am 6 weeks closer to boundless energy and health .. poised to take the spring season by storm !!

I have transitioned to mono eating almost exclusively... except for an occasional smoothie (2-3 per week) and my dinner salads.

My weight is holding between 150 - 155lbs @ 5'11".

I measured urine pH a few times lately in the am... it is always 7.3 that is good news.. I am in the "healing zone".

Today's menu was as follows:

0900 - 10 soaked dried figs + 4 apples
1200 - 9 bananas
1500 - 1.5 Pineapples
1800 - 2 mangos + salad with lettuce, mixed greens, spinach, cucumber, celery, grated carrot and lemon juice

I know the best is yet to come... cannot forget I just had that dental procedure 2 weeks ago... it will take some time to recover from that.

I hope you all make today and your future better...

Eat Well,

RD.

Day 37 - The Best Sleep Yet

It was 60F here in Dallas last evening - beautiful sleeping weather. With the window open I turned the heat off & nestled in under several blankets clad in boxer shorts and a hoodie.....@ 8:30pm.

12 hours later... (excluding a couple of pee breaks) I awoke as one of our boys climbed into bed with us.

I do not recall a sleep that deep in my adult life ! I am a bit exhilarated this am.... my body is calling for rest right now... that 12 hours is "just what the Dr. ordered !"

I highly recommend a cracked window in the bedroom at night... I used to do this even in upstate NY where I grew up.. nothing like deep breathing that fresh air and waking to the distinguished scent of morning freshness.

Everyone out there get your rest, fresh air, and make today one of your BEST !!!!

5 Weeks - 35 Days - LFRV - The Fog is Lifting

I am 5 weeks into my first real 100 day challenge. The tooth extraction 2 weeks ago seems to have set me back a bit.. but the fog in my head is lifting a bit today !!

I am experiencing a white coated tongue in the am, general fatigue, head fogginess, and sometimes a bit of a headache.. but NOTHING like last week!

I do feel stronger today - am looking forward to my strength starting to climb again.

An invasive medical procedure (even a tooth extraction) is quite the shock to the body. I must remain patient and let the healing unfold at its own pace... being sure to provide enough fruit, water, greens, sunshine, fresh air to aid the process.

My diet is now very consistent. I will have overts 2 days, 1 day off. Am eating ~2600 calories per day - more mono fruit now - less green smoothies - have incorporated a large salad for dinner - it seems to cleanse my palate & ready me for fruit in the AM.... !!!

A typical daily meal plan for me is as follows....

Breakfast
=======
  • 10 dried soaked figs
  • 4 apples (30 minutes later)
Lunch
====
  • 8 bananas
Mid-Aft
======
  • 6 oranges
Dinner
=====
  • 2 pears blended with strawberries (frozen)
  • large salad (30-60 minutes later - romaine, spinach, mixed greens, celery, tomato & avocado OR shredded carrots, sometimes cucumber - with a lemon half squeezed over the top)
I have the carrots on the non-overt days.

My digestion is improving. When consuming the green smoothies before... I was having some problems. Mono eating is taking care of that.

"Doc Hudson all better now"

Sweeter words have not been heard !! Our son Nick (autistic) just ran into the room to get me...

Dad..."Da Huson faww off da bed" ... and urged me to follow him...

I asked him what had fallen off the bed?

"Da huson"... (still puzzled.... began looking around the room)...

I looked under the bed to find this little car - Doc Hudson - from the movie Cars.....

Ah Ha !!!!

As I returned to the family room - I heard Nick exclaim... "Da Huson all better now"....

Many of you may know that Nick did not utter a single word until last spring.. and his ability to interact was poor (coincidentally we started transitioning to raw foods in Nov. '08).

The situation described above used to manifest itself with an "autistic meltdown".. whereby Nick would cry, yell, flap his hands and run on his toes.... you had really no idea what was the matter.

He has a long ways yet to go... but watching him heal and improve is nothing short of magical... we are committed to help him achieve his very best.

Blessings all - make a good one !!

4 Weeks - 28 Days LFRV - Paying the Piper

This has been a week I will not soon forget. Wednesday... I thought I would cease during the evening. I could not breathe, then sinus was clear, suffocating, then half relief. My head was absolutely pounding, and I was cold enough to shiver.

I seem to be coming out of it now... but experienced the following symptoms this week:
  • Dry itchy patches of skin on my hands
  • Nausea
  • Burning post defication
  • Excessive urination
  • Severe Chills
  • Fever
  • Powdery residue on left food around toe nails
  • Aches/Pains
  • Foggy Head
I cannot be sure this was prompted by the dental procedure, 4 weeks on this diet, or both? Likely the later.

I feel like I have paid the piper this week... 4 sure.

On the positive side I did manage to miss only 1 day of work, am starting to eat mono meals, and the weather is a bit warmer - allowing us to open the windows a bit more.

Eating mono fruit is easier for me if I consume a VERY LARGE salad in the evening.... thus far.. I have been using only lemon juice as the dressing.... it seems very refreshing to me and just what the Dr. ordered after consuming fruit all day.

I believe I may get called to see the piper again, but do believe it is part of the transition - likely am going just a bit fast - but am determined to 'make this stick'...

Best Wishes All... Make a Great One !

Down and Out

This AM I could barely raise my head from the pillow. Aches, pains, stuffed sinus, then clear...etc.. I called in sick to work and have eaten little today.... just resting.

This gives me time to catch up with our little pooch (Lexy) - she likes to sleep with me.

I do feel a bit better than this morning now (~1pm)... let's see what tomorrow brings !!

All part of the process - I have to be patient and get past the "post dental procedure blues"... I was expecting this ... got a dose of it last time as well.

Make your day... the best it can be !!!

Day 25 - Skull Crusher

Today is Day25 contiguous on LFRV. I am developing quite the headache. I have to assume more cleansing. Cannot forget I just had the dental procedure last week and the poisons will be on the way out.

I will try to drink a bit more water and rest all I can.

I do believe this is well worth the effort.

Dental Poison

It seems the novocaine and whatever other toxic substances the dentist squirted into my head are being released into my blood stream.

I feel a bit groggy... otherwise not doing to bad.

When we run on cleaner fuel - I believe the "bad stuff" is escorted much more readily from the body. A couple of years ago - I would not have felt much different this week.

My bowels, liver, lungs and kidneys do seem to be working much more optimally than previous.

Even in this newly weakened state (that I hope will pass this week) - I was able to climb the 9 flights of stairs at work - 2 steps at a time.. and recover in a few minutes. I am not in great shape - but am getting stronger.

Keep your motor running clean... consume the fuel we are designed to run on... fruits, greens, and some nuts/seeds, and you will be well on your way to building a new body.... 1 cell at a time.

Blessings all - may you make today the best day ever !!

1 week's provisions - a formula for healing

Folks may be surprised at the volume of food required when they first start consuming it "naked" (fruits, greens, nuts/seeds).

RawMom just came back from the grocery store - we should be about set for 5-7 days.

125 bananas, 90 oranges, 20 grapefruit, 4 pineapple, 40 apples, 2 cantaloupe, 3 mango, 5 lbs frozen berries, 1 lb dates, 1lb dried figs, 2 bunches celery, 6 heads romaine, 2 bunches kale, 3 lbs of baby spinach, 1 lb almonds, 10 avocados, and 5 lbs of carrots.

It is not uncommon for wild animals to consume 20-40% if their own body weight in food each day. Naked food contains much more water and fiber than the SAD - a much larger volume is needed.

Our family consumes ~ 15-20 lbs of fruit per day and 3-4 lbs of greens & vegetables. We easily consume more fresh fruits and vegetables in a week than we used to in 1 year. The nutritional necessity for healing is being provided on a continual basis.

Consider pumping up the volume of "naked" food you consume and start upon your own path to healing today - it is never too late to start living.

3 weeks LFRV - Light at the end of the tunnel

21 Days on the 811RV and I feel like I have learned and accomplished quite a bit on my path to health.

My energy is improved, my outlook on life is brighter, and my temperament is much less fickle. We just moved a chair back into our living room... both of us struggled to carry it before x-mas. This time .. once through the tight doorway.. I was able to carry it alone... not a real "strong man demonstration".. but certainly a sign that I am on the right track.

A very important lesson I have learned is consuming enough fruit to satiate your daily requirements is paramount to be successful on this diet! If you do not feel well - increase your caloric intake by a few hundred for a couple of weeks... see what happens. I was told this by several people and I read the same on multiple forums and I finally started utilizing nutridiary and settled into a more successful routine.

I also managed to get the very last bit of "bad dental work" outta my mouth. IMO - you do not want a dead tooth, or any metal in your body. From the very moment the dentist started to work the tooth out I have felt better. I experienced almost no pain during this episode (other than those darn novocaine shots) and am already starting to feel pretty well (24 hours later).

Eating a bit more has also encouraged additional body movement. I feel like moving more (it IS JUST like the BOOK SAYS) !!

If you are struggling - consume a bit more... and really consider getting any foreign material outta your body (may not be an easy decision... mine was a tough one.. I debated for months).... and you will be on your way to a healthier, happier, longer life.

Best Wishes ALL !

RD.

Award from Berry Boy !!

10 things that make Nick, Seth, RawMom & Dad Happy:

1. RM&D - Healthy Boys !
2. Nick - is happy to tell us he loves us...
3. Seth - Mommy!
4. Nick - Drawing anything!
5. Seth - Bananas !
6. Nick - Apples !
7. RM - Strawberries & Oranges !
8. RD - Green Smoothies !
9. All - Smiling Faces !
10. RM&D - Massages & Warm Weather !

It seems the list can run on for some time ... LOL.

We do have a lot to be thankful for... Thx Berry Boy for helping us appreciate it a bit more!

Root Canaled Tooth extracted today

I now have no metal fillings or root canals in my mouth. This final extraction (the 4th of 4) seems to have gone quite well. I am in virtually no pain after resting earlier this afternoon. I felt good enough to attend a funeral service - although was a bit concerned about seepage... (ewwww!!)...

It may be my imagination - but the moment the tooth started to be loosen for removal - I started to feel better. I can breathe easier ! Hopefully this trend will continue !

Upon completion of the procedure the dentist noticed the root tip of the tooth was black. He showed it to me - indeed - very dark. He mentioned to never have seen that before. I cannot be sure at this point why it may be - but am sure I am better off without a blackening tooth root in my head ??

Do not overlook "dental nightmares" as a source of your anguish - it may be something to consider.

Best Wishes to all seeking health.

Tranquility

Close to 3 weeks contiguous on this diet and after eating ~95% raw last year and I find myself less tolerant of violent behavior. Today one of the guys at work just had to show me a youtube video of some guy attempting to burn up his car tires before he took it in to get the tires replaced.

The young man proceeded to rev the motor and drop the clutch ... only to find the clutch slipped and the pressure plate broke into pieces.. striking one witness and another coming through the floor boards and hitting his leg, another piece was projected through the firewall into the bottom of the dashboard!

This fella and those watching could have been seriously injured.

A couple of years ago... I would have certainly found this quite entertaining, and likely yukked it up with the rest of the guys... all I could muster this time was "that was not too smart - he's lucky no one was killed"....

Is this my age showing... or a reflection of the absence of animal foods in the diet and a less toxic body ??

Likely a little of both..... and I am most pleased with the changes thus far.

Peace,

RD.
